Hard to find mags at a great priceBeen carrying a 6906 since the 90s and finding magazines for these old girls has gotten tougher every year, the OEM ones go for crazy money on gunbroker when you can find em. Grabbed 3 of these at the sale price and they drop in just like the factory mags I already had. Loaded em up and ran 150 rounds of Blazer Brass through my 6906 last Saturday, zero failures, locked the slide back on the last round every time. The witness holes are a nice touch, didnt have those on my originals.
Sale price beats paying $50+ for used OEM mags online

Should of grabbed these soonerI collect 3rd gen Smiths and I shoot them all I dont safe queen anything. Have a 6906 a 6904 and a 6946 in the safe and they all share mags which is the beauty of the 69 series family. Ordered three of these to refresh my range rotation since some of my original mags have weak springs after 30 years of life. Brand new out of the bag they drop in all three guns no fitting nothing. Polished body drops free even from my 6946 which has always been the pickiest of my guns. Compared to the $70 a pop NOS factory mags Im seeing on GunBroker this is like christmas, at $19.95 your basically stealing
Fits the whole 69 series family not just one model
Heavy duty spring feels stronger than my 30 year old originalsStiff spring out of the package (broke in fine)

Matches my factory mags exactlyActually bought this because my factory S&W mags for my 6906 were starting to get sketchy after 30 years of use and I couldn't stomach the $50+ prices on the auction sites for genuine original S&W. This 12-rounder dropped in like it was made by the same factory, locked back on empty, released clean, no wiggle in the well. The double-stack geometry feeds hollowpoints and FMJ without the nose-dive issues I get with my old worn mag. Then I discovered it's also perfect for: dry-fire practice because the steel body has enough heft that my mag changes feel realistic, teaching my daughter proper reload technique without risking my vintage mags on the concrete range floor, as a reference when I'm tuning feed lips on other mags because the geometry is correct, and as a weight in my range bag to keep it from sliding around my truck bed. Construction is legit heat-treated steel. Mine runs smooth as butter, the follower doesn't tilt or hang up when I load. For the price it's cheaper than one beat-to-death original S&W mag at the gun show. The 69 Series compatibility scares some people off thinking their old 469 or 669 won't run it, but this is just a really good 9mm magazine.
Genuine 12-round capacity matches my factory mags exactly
Heat-treated steel body doesn't deform like aluminum when I drop it on reloads
Cons:Spring is stiffer than my 30-year-old mags so my thumb is sore after loading six of these

Ordered 3 more after the first one showed upGot this for my 6946 that Ive had since the early 2000s and it fit perfect right out of the bag, no messing around. The original mags that came with the gun are pretty beat up at this point and finding factory replacements is a pain these are basically the same thing for under 30 bucks. Drops free every time, no sticking, no drama. My buddy saw it at the range and wants one for his 6906 too. Already went back and grabbed 3 more to keep on hand.
Under $30, cant beat it for a hard-to-find mag
Nothing really, does exactly what a mag is supposed to do
