Saiga Side-Rail Scope Mount

The Saiga's receiver cover is not a stable place to mount an optic, so this United Defense mount clamps to the side rail instead. That rail is the dovetail strip riveted along the left side of the receiver. The mount wraps up and over the receiver and gives you a short rail on top, centered over the bore, with a pair of 1-inch rings already included. It suits Saiga owners who want to add a scope or other rail-mounted optic without drilling or modifying the gun.

Features

• Side-Rail Attachment — The base slides onto the receiver's side dovetail rail, so installation needs no gunsmithing or permanent changes to the rifle.
• Tightening Lever — A flat cam lever on the base locks the mount to the side rail by hand once it is in position.
• Wing Nut Tension Adjustment — A wing nut under the lever sets the clamping tension, so you can tune how firmly the mount grips your particular rail.
• Over-The-Receiver Bridge — Two side plates, joined with Phillips screws, carry the mount up and across the receiver to sit the rail above the bore line.
• Picatinny-Style Top Rail — A slotted top rail with cross-grooves accepts rings and other clamp-on optic mounts.
• 1-Inch Rings Included — Two 1-inch scope rings come in the box, each with a two-screw cap and a cross-bolt that clamps it to the rail.
• Hex Key Included — An Allen wrench is supplied for the ring screws, so you can mount a scope straight out of the package.
• Black Finish — The black finish matches the Saiga's factory receiver and furniture.

Fit and Installation

The mount is designed for Saiga models with a factory side rail and is pictured here fitted to a Saiga-12. To install, slide the base onto the side rail, set the tension with the wing nut, and close the lever to lock it. The rings take a scope with a standard 1-inch tube. For a 30mm scope or a red dot, use the top rail with a mount of your choice.
