Great Teaching ToolI just started getting into locksmithing as a hobby and this training padlock has been an incredible learning tool. Being able to see exactly how each of the seven pins reacts when I insert the key or use my picks made everything click in my brain way faster than reading a book.
You can actually watch what's happening inside in real time.

This is fun plain and simpleBought this with the lock pick set. It is fun to play with. It is also great as my son liked looking at how a lock works. If you have kids the lock by itself is worth the money. That being said I would not use it as a real lock it is plastic except the tumblers but gives you great insight how put together it works.

FunIt is plastic except the tumblers but really not a disadvantage it has to be to see through it.

Nice educational toolThis is a very nice see through pad lock, I mainly bought this for my son who saw it while I was browsing the website. He likes to understand and figure out how mechanical things work, and take them apart in the process. For the price I did not mind if this was broken while he was trying to figure it out which he has not done yet.
