Streamlight ProTac HL 5-X USB LED Flashlight

ProTac HL 5-X Flashlight

The Streamlight ProTac HL 5-X USB is a full-size handheld LED flashlight for anyone who needs a lot of light on demand: patrol and security work, property checks after dark, vehicle kits and backcountry use. ProTac is Streamlight's tactical line, and the HL 5-X is the long-bodied model that runs on two 18650 lithium-ion cells. This USB version ships with two Streamlight batteries that charge directly from a USB cable, so you can top up from a wall adapter, vehicle port or power bank.

Features

• Two 18650 Batteries Included — The light comes with a pair of Streamlight-branded 18650 lithium-ion cells, a rechargeable battery size named for its 18mm diameter and 65mm length.
• USB Charging On Each Cell — Each battery has its own charging port, so you plug a USB cable straight into the cell and need no separate charging cradle.
• Finned Head — Machined grooves around the head add surface area that draws heat away from the LED during long runs.
• Heat Warning Marking — A HOT symbol on the bezel reminds you that the head warms up with extended use at high output.
• Scalloped Bezel — The front ring has a notched edge that protects the lens when the light is set down or knocked.
• Smooth LED Reflector — A polished reflector behind the lens shapes the LED output into a forward beam.
• Diamond-Knurled Grip — Knurling, a raised crosshatch texture, covers the battery tube so the light stays secure in a wet or gloved hand.
• Knurled Tail Cap — The rear cap carries matching knurling for a positive grip when you open it to swap batteries.

Power And Build

The two 18650 cells sit end to end in the long body. That extra length gives you a full-hand grip and room for more battery capacity than a compact single-cell light. The body has a matte black finish with the ProTac HL 5-X name molded into a smooth panel on the grip. Because the batteries charge over USB themselves, you can keep a spare pair charged and swap them in the field.
