    The ROTHCO Black/Gray Thermal Socks have kept my frozen feet, toes, calves and part of my legs, toasty warm on this single-digit 50 degree, frozen, Michigan morning. The Black/Gray Thermal Socks, seem like they are 100% polyester and they have no inner lining. That being said, they soak up sweat (sweat, not rain, unless it's pouring down rain), very fast. I'm going to need to find some boot socks with an inner-lining. If the insulation (polyester) was lined with fleece (polyester), or an inner wool sock (probably polyester), then I would rate these thermal socks a little higher. I also want to add, these thermal socks are the first winter (WARM WINTER) type socks that have fit me correctly, out of all the winter type (polyester and wool socks), boot socks that I have tried on. I have had a terrible time finding the right size, or finding a sock that actually fit. The only other thermal socks I have worn, I got from a restaurant supply, and they fit, and felt comfortable, but they only came in a single, too small, size (11). They fit, and felt good, but were only available in men's size (one-size fits most size). If the sizes were made available in multiple sizes (a range of size-ranges) and also had an option to add some fleece or wool to the mix, these socks would be an absolute five-star sock for winter wear.

    My problem with socks is that they tend to roll down to the ankles, regardless of what sock I wear. These socks don't. If I roll over in my sleep, these socks won't be on the floor when I get up. These socks are great.
