US Military Fire Resistant Balaclava
The US Military Fire Resistant Balaclava is a genuine USGI-issue cold-weather hood built to NSN 8415-01-526-8790 specification in foliage green. Constructed from a flame-resistant modacrylic and rayon blend, it provides head and neck coverage that will not melt or drip when exposed to flash fire, while wicking moisture and resisting odor through an Ag47 silver-ion treatment. The one-piece pullover design layers cleanly under a combat helmet and can be worn up over the bridge of the nose or down around the neck. Made in the USA, it suits soldiers, vehicle crewmen, range instructors, and anyone needing FR head protection in cold weather.

Training gearI bought three of these. They were new in factory packaging. Just used one for airsoft training, worked great. Covered areas of the head and throat that the face shield doesn't protect.

Budget flash protectionUsed but in great condition surplus gear. Label gives good care and use advice. Fit is comfortable and soft, strechable fit. I have a 7-3/4 hat size and fits well. Have a Canadian balaclava and fit is snug., this I better fit. This would be good starter gear for pit crew gearheads at this special price$$
