USGI MOLLE II 200 Rd SAW Gunner Pouch - ACU

SAW Gunner Pouch

This is the US military's MOLLE II pouch built to carry a 200-round box of 5.56mm linked ammunition for the M249 SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon). It mounts to the front of a plate carrier, rig or ruck and keeps a full belt fed and protected. Gunners carry it for ammo, but the box-shaped interior and rigid sides make it just as useful as a general utility pouch or an IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit) carrier.

Features

• Holds 200 Rounds Of 5.56mm — Sized for a standard M249 SAW ammunition box of linked 5.56mm rounds.
• 1000 Denier Cordura — Built from heavy 1000D Cordura nylon, a high-abrasion fabric the US military specifies for load-bearing gear.
• Reinforced Plastic Sides — Stiffening panels inside the walls hold the pouch square so it does not collapse when partly loaded.
• MOLLE-Compatible Straps — Woven webbing straps on the back thread through the rows of loops on MOLLE or PALS gear and snap down to lock the pouch in place.
• Quick-Release Buckle — A side-release buckle holds the top flap shut and opens one-handed for a fast reload.
• Drainage Grommet — A metal eyelet in the base lets water run out after rain or a river crossing.
• ACU Camouflage — Finished in the Army Universal digital pattern (ACU), the pixelated gray-green issued with the Army Combat Uniform.
• Roughly 8 x 7 x 3 Inches — About 8 in long, 7 in high and 3 in deep (20 x 18 x 8 cm), big enough for the ammo box or a packed medical kit.

US Army Issue

This is genuine US Army issue from the MOLLE II system, carried under National Stock Number 8465-01-524-7620. It was designed around the M249 SAW ammunition box, so it fits that load exactly, and the rigid build and quick-release flap make it an easy choice for anyone who wants a boxy utility or medical pouch that mounts to existing MOLLE kit.
