Marine Corps Charge Pouch

This is a USMC SFLCS charge pouch, a tall, upright general-purpose pouch built to carry a static demolition charge on a vest, plate carrier or pack. The flap closes under a quick-release buckle with a hook-and-loop strip and a cinched elastic mouth inside, so the contents stay put when you run, crawl or drop prone. It also works as a utility pouch for anyone who needs a secure, deep compartment for a med kit, radio accessories or spare gear.

Features

• Cordura Nylon Body — Heavy woven Cordura nylon resists abrasion and holds its shape around a loaded pouch.
• Quick-Release Buckle Flap — A side-release buckle on an adjustable webbing strap opens with one squeeze and tightens down to suit what you carry.
• Hook-And-Loop Inner Closure — Hook-and-loop strips (the same idea as Velcro) on the flap and the pouch mouth add a second hold under the buckle.
• Elastic Gathered Mouth — An elasticated opening draws in around the contents to stop them shifting or rattling.
• MOLLE Mounting Straps — Three webbing straps on the back weave through PALS loops, the rows of nylon webbing on vests and packs, and fasten with snaps at the bottom.
• Rear PALS Webbing — Four rows of webbing on the back give the straps their anchor points and keep the pouch flat against your rig.
• Front PALS Webbing — Two rows across the front let you stack a small pouch or accessory on the face of this one.
• Drain Grommet — A metal eyelet in the base lets water run out instead of pooling at the bottom.

Issue Specification

The pouch is coyote brown, the color the Marine Corps adopted for its load-bearing gear. A sewn-in label on the back identifies it as a static charge pouch and carries the government contract number, stock number and a 10/08 manufacture date, which is the provenance collectors and reenactors look for. Because the attachment is standard MOLLE, it fits any PALS-webbed vest, belt or pack, not only Marine Corps systems.
