Folding AR15 Rear Sight

The UTG MNT-955 is a low profile flip-up rear sight for AR15 rifles and other platforms with a flat-top Picatinny rail, the slotted mounting rail standard on most modern rifles. It is built as a backup iron sight (BUIS), meaning it stays folded flat and out of the way behind your optic until you need it, then flips up so you can keep shooting if the optic fails or its battery dies. Shooters running a red dot or scope who want a dependable fallback without a tall, bulky sight on the receiver are the ones it suits.

Features

• Low Profile Folding Design — The sight lies close to the rail when stowed, so it sits under most optics without getting in the way.
• Spring Detent Posi-Lock — A spring-loaded detent holds the sight firmly in either the upright or folded position, so it does not flop around under recoil.
• Dual Aperture Flip — A large peep for fast close-range sighting and a small peep for more precise aiming at distance flip over on the same leaf.
• Knurled Windage Knob — The ridged dial marked with an R and arrow moves the aperture left or right to correct for wind and zero the sight.
• Windage Reference Scale — White hash marks below the aperture show where it sits, which makes it easier to return to your zero.
• Picatinny Rail Clamp — A cross-bolt clamp locks the base onto any standard Picatinny rail, and the detachable mount comes off when you want to move it.
• Protective Side Ears — Tall wings on both sides of the aperture shield it from knocks and help frame the sight picture.
• Allen Wrench Included — A 3mm Allen wrench comes in the box for tightening the mounting bolt.

Fit and Mounting

The sight clamps onto the rear of a flat-top upper receiver or any other Picatinny rail section, with a hex-head cross bolt that tightens using the supplied 3mm wrench. Its compact footprint leaves room for an optic mounted directly in front. The black finish matches most rifle setups, and when you no longer need the sight, the detachable base lets you remove it without tools beyond that wrench.
