<span>I wanted something of good quality and preferably made in the USA that wasn't too expensive. This was made in Taiwan, but at least it was designed by and sold by a US company and not made in communist China. Until we move our manufacturing base back to the USA, this is an acceptable compromise.<br><br>The sight is very sturdy and easy to attach securely, so I'm happy with the purchase. When installed, it lays low so it is out of the way of my red dot sight, but when I flip it up, I can see right through the red dot and can even align the two so that they are both on target.<br><br>There are some sights that are much more expensive, but this does the job well. I also bought the matching UTG flip-up front sight.</span>

<span>Okay. The Good; I love the sights. Sturdy when up. Easy down. Very low profile. Co- witness great with my red dot. The bad; hex screw stripped right out on installation. Mounted it and then attempted to un mount it and instantly stripped. Now it’s stuck and I’m either going to have to drill it out and use an extractor or take it to my Gunsmith. So now what? Looked at Leapers website the manufacturer for UTG and will attempt to find out if their Lifetime Warranty covers the screw if I can salvage the sight.</span>

<span>I have this product as well as MAGPUL MBUS and let me tell you, both the product and the customer service of Magpul is substantially BETTER THAN LEAPERS UTG. My Magpuls are far lighter and WAY FASTER TO DEPLOY! Also, a recent customer service incident that is totally Leapers UTG's fault let me know that you CANNOT count on them stepping up to do the right thing - even for a military family like ours. Spend a few extra dollars for the FAR superior Magpul flip-ups.</span>

My Windage Seems Significantly Off

<span>I like the low profile design and they seem pretty durable, but my windage seems to be significantly off. Tried it on two different guns and I had to crank it pretty far to the left to get my groups in the center. I wish I had tried to zero it before the return period expired.</span>

<span>Yes, poor quality even with expectations adjusted given the price and knowing this was made in China. The main issue is that the mounting bolt binds to the threads and the metric hex bolt is way too small to exert enough force without stripping. I did not want to take any chances so promptly returned. The features look good on paper for any of you that want to risk it.</span>

<span>This aluminum sight seems well-made. The adjustment knob turns with clear detents. The box clearly states "Made in Taiwan", meaning the tiny part of China that is a democracy, NOT the Communist mainland. It is not spring-loaded; the user must manually pull it up. It then locks into place, and is released by pressing a small plunger to return it to folded status.</span>
