Wasp I Z1B Boonie Hat

This is Mil-Tec's take on the classic military boonie, the wide-brimmed bush hat soldiers have worn for decades to keep sun and rain off the face and neck. It is cut from cotton ripstop and printed in the Wasp I Z1B camouflage pattern, a mix of grey, green, brown and tan that suits mixed woodland and rocky ground. Hunters, airsoft players, hikers and anyone working outdoors in the sun will get use from it.

Features

• Cotton Ripstop Fabric — The cotton is woven with a reinforcing grid so a small snag or tear cannot spread across the hat.
• Wasp I Z1B Camouflage — The pattern breaks up the outline of your head with patches of grey, green, brown, tan and off-white.
• Foliage Loop Band — A stitched band runs around the crown, letting you tuck in grass, twigs or leaves for extra concealment.
• Ventilation Eyelets — Metal eyelets set into the crown let warm air escape from the top of the head.
• Adjustable Chin Cord — A cord with a sliding toggle keeps the hat on in wind and lets you let it hang at your back when not in use.
• Full Wide Brim — The brim runs all the way around the hat, shading the face, ears and back of the neck.

Build and Fit

The hat follows the traditional boonie layout: a soft crown, a looped band above the brim and a cord that runs from the sides down under the chin. Cotton is breathable and comfortable in warm weather, and the soft brim can be shaped or rolled to suit how you wear it. The brim folds flat enough to pack the hat into a bag or cargo pocket when you are not wearing it.
