Unique PieceOkay so I collect military surplus jackets from different countries and this Guinea-Bissau piece is honestly one of the coolest in my rotation. The woodland digital camo is clearly inspired by USMC MARPAT but the coloring is just slightly different... a little more saturated greens and the digital pattern has its own character. The ripstop fabric feels solid, 65/35 poly-cotton blend so it breathes decently but still has some weight to it. Four front pockets with snap closures that actually work well, and the zip-up front with the button storm flap gives it a proper field jacket look. I love that it has the actual Guinea-Bissau flag on it, which is something you just can't get with a generic Propper BDU in digital woodland. Stitching is tight, no loose threads, and the drape is more structured than I expected (in a good way).
Unique MARPAT-inspired pattern you won't see on anyone else
Quality ripstop construction with solid stitching
Authentic military surplus with Guinea-Bissau flag detailSizing runs a touch boxy compared to US commercial cuts

Inexpensive, reasonably well made did have to resew a cuff button.Inexpensive, reasonably well made did have to resew a cuff button. Lots of polyester I would imagine the stink down wind is substantial I plan on cooler weather than west Africa.

Nice product, sizes are WAY OFF.Nice enough jacket, I wear a 2XL USGI BDU, and the 3X jacket I received was probably an XL or smaller. Hat was snug, it was a 6 7/8, but I have a large brain. Did not bother with the pants, I wanted a set or nothing. Honestly, you dont see many large Africans, and I was concerned from the beginning that these would run small, and they do by a huge margin.
Response from store
We're sorry the 3XL did not fit you. For a 3XL we use 53" and up for chest size, which matches the vast majority of military and commercial garment manufacturers in the USA. If your normal 3XL sizing measures a lot larger than 3XL, it would be a more civilian standard.
You are right on the size of West African soldiers, they are much smaller than even civilians in the USA. This is an exclusive item here and we won't ever see them again.Unique pattern if you like combat styling.
Doesnt fit us large and well fed Americans.
