How to Measure: Measure horizontally from end to end around the waistband for the waist. For the hip width, measure horizontally from the outside of one leg hole to the other. The inseam length can be found by measuring from the crotch down to the end of the BDU Shorts. To find the outseam length, measure from the top edge of the waistband to the bottom edge of the hem.

Excellent material, lots of usable pockets, well-fitting size medium (USA), the leg openings were a tiny bit big for my taste, and I don't like their black and tan color combo (black makes them too much formal), but otherwise it was a good buy. Would buy another pair of a different color.

I wear shorts as my main outfit, as opposed to a pair of jeans or BDU pants. These work well as summer casual shorts. They are somewhat heavier and thicker than a standard set of military or regular casual BDU shorts and you will sweat a little more in the Texas sun. The BDU patterns run a bit big, and I normally where the small size, these fit perfectly.

Shorts look as stated. Made out to be mil/spec spec and, they are shorts. Like camel/desert... and not being funny.... that is exactly how my humps felt while wearing these shorts. Slight, for lack of other words, make one very uncomfortable. They dry fairly quickly, and are relatively tough, so, it would appear they would be serviceable.

I'm still wearing mine but a warning if your are going to have buttons instead of zippers or buttons + zippers do not expect rip stop poly-cotton I think is the main fabric I wear mine all the time but not in the water at all. They are light as a feather and I got size small for me. I am an average woman and am 5 8" tall and weigh 125 with an athletic build
