Winchester X22MHLF .22 WMR Ammunition

Lead-Free .22 WMR Varmint

Winchester X22MHLF is a .22 WMR varmint and small game load from the Varmint LF line, built around a 25-grain lead-free NTX bullet with a polymer tip. It is meant for rimfire hunters working on prairie dogs, groundhogs, rabbits and similar pests who need or prefer to shoot without lead. Each box holds 50 rounds.

Features

• .22 WMR Chambering — Also sold as .22 Win Mag or .22 Magnum, this rimfire cartridge is longer and faster than .22 LR and only fits firearms chambered for it.
• 25-Grain NTX Bullet — The light, lead-free NTX projectile suits small-bodied targets where a fast, flat-shooting round matters more than weight.
• Polymer Tip — A pointed polymer tip sits at the nose of the bullet to start expansion on impact and give a streamlined profile in flight.
• 2100 FPS Muzzle Velocity — The box rates this load at 2,100 feet per second at the muzzle.
• Lead-Free Construction — The LF in Varmint LF stands for lead-free, a useful option where lead ammunition is restricted or discouraged for hunting.
• Brass Cases — Each round is loaded in a brass case with a rimfire primer, meaning the priming compound sits in the rim of the case rather than in a separate cup.
• .224 Bullet Diameter — The bullet measures .224 inch, the standard diameter for .22 WMR.
• 50-Round Flip Box — Rounds come stood upright in a clear red plastic box, so you can see what is left at a glance.
• Made In USA — Winchester marks this load as made in the USA.

Build and Compatibility

Winchester loads these cartridges with precision-formed brass cases, clean-burning powder and reliable primers. Use them in any rifle, revolver or handgun chambered for .22 WMR. They will not chamber in a .22 LR firearm, and .22 LR should never be fired in a .22 WMR chamber.
