The Angstadt Arms 9mm Bolt Carrier Group is the reciprocating heart of a pistol-caliber AR-15. It chambers each round, holds it while it fires, and pulls the empty case back out. A 9mm AR runs differently from a standard 5.56mm rifle, so it needs a dedicated carrier like this one. • Blowback Design — There is no gas key on top, because a 9mm AR uses direct blowback, where the carrier's own weight and the buffer spring keep the action closed until pressure drops, with no gas tapped from the barrel.
• Fixed Bolt Face — The bolt is part of the carrier rather than a separate rotating bolt, so there is no cam pin or locking lugs to wear or lose.
• Pinned Extractor — An extractor at the front of the bolt grips the case rim and draws each spent case out of the chamber for ejection.
