Description
Shotgun Heatshield
A pump shotgun barrel gets hot fast during a string of shots, and a bare barrel can burn the support hand or anything that brushes against it. The ATI Deluxe Universal Shotgun Heatshield covers the top of the barrel with a slotted steel shroud and adds a ghost ring sight system at the same time. It suits home-defense, tactical and training shotguns where faster sighting and some protection from barrel heat are both worth having.
Features
- High-Strength Steel Construction — The shield is made of steel with a matte black powder coat, a baked-on finish that resists wear and cuts glare.
- Elongated Cooling Slots — Two rows of oblong cutouts run the length of the shield so heat can escape instead of building up under the cover.
- Ghost Ring Rear Sight — A ghost ring is a large rear aperture you look through, and your eye naturally centers the front post in it for quick target acquisition.
- AR-15 Style Front Sight — The protected front post sits between two side wings, in the familiar layout used on AR-15 rifles.
- CNC-Machined Aluminum Components — The ghost ring parts are machined from aluminum and mounted in fixed nylon sight housings.
- Free-Floating Design — The shield is held off the barrel so there is no metal-to-metal contact, which keeps heat transfer and barrel stress down.
- Heat-Resistant Silicone Pads — Pads on the rear clip and V-blocks are rated for temperatures above 600°F (315°C).
- 13.5-Inch Length — At 13.5 inches (34 cm), the shield covers a long section of the barrel ahead of the receiver.
- Universal Pump Shotgun Fit — It fits most 12, 16 and 20 gauge pump shotgun barrels as well as .410 bore shotguns.
Fit And Installation
To install, slide the shield over the barrel and secure it with the supplied hardware. The front clamp plate and the rear clip with V-blocks hold it in place without permanent modification to the gun. Do not fit it to Mossberg Mariner or Remington Marine coat shotguns. The heatshield is made by Advanced Technology under the ATI Outdoors brand, part number SBS4600.

For under 30 bucks you get a heatshield AND sights so its hard to beat that value honestly.Slapped this on my Stevens 320 and it fit like a glove no modifications needed at all. Shot 50 rounds through it the first evening and it never budged. One thing to know is if you ever need to take the mag tube nut off for cleaning you gotta remove the heatshield first which is kind of a pain but not a dealbreaker.

Good solid addition to my pump gunBeen running this daily for a few weeks now on my 12 gauge and its exactly what my home defense setup needed. The ghost ring sights are a real step up from the plain bead sight, much faster to line up when it counts. Shipping was quick and the packaging kept everything in good shape with no dings on the matte finish. Clamped it on myself in about fifteen minutes though the directions could of been a little clearer on which clamp goes where. The steel feels solid and those cooling slots actually make a difference after a longer session at the range. Hasnt loosened up on me yet even after plenty of rounds. Good honest product that does what it advertises.

Looks awesome on my Mossberg 500Put this on my mossberg 500 and it went on pretty easy, just slide it over the barrel and tighten down the hardware. Ran about 40 rounds through it at the range and the shield stayed put the whole time which is exactly what I wanted. Gives the shotgun that tactical look and the ghost ring sights actually line up pretty decent for how cheap this thing is.
