Workhorse BagOkay so i picked this up a few months back mostly to use as a range bag and general gear hauler figured a 19-inch canvas duffle at this price point was worth a shot. I'm usually grabbing whatever's cheapest at Army surplus but honestly this Rothco held up better than I expected. The heavyweight cotton canvas feels genuinely thick in your hands, not that flimsy poly stuff you get from knockoff brands, and the military-style print on the front is a nice touch without being over the top. The dual carry handles and removable shoulder strap (adjusts out pretty long, works fine over a heavy jacket) make it easy to lug around whether I'm throwing it in the truck bed or carrying it through a parking lot. That said, the zipper pulls feel a little plasticky compared to what I've seen on Condor bags in the same price range, and one of the leather pull tabs on the front pocket had a loose thread right out of the bag not a dealbreaker but a little annoying. The 22L capacity is just right for a day's worth of gear; don't expect to pack a weekend trip in it. I washed it cold and air dried it twice now and the black color hasn't faded noticeably, which I was worried about.

Great old school duffelReminds me of the seabag I had back in the day, just smaller and with better zippers. The canvas is the real deal not that thin stuff they pass off as canvas now. I use mine for the gym and the 3 outside zipper pockets are perfect for keys wallet phone and my lock so I dont have to dig through sweaty clothes to find anything. My one nitpick is the shoulder strap pad could be a little wider, when the bag is FULL it digs into your shoulder a bit on a long walk. Overall though for the money its a steal and I expect to get years out of it.
