Black Vintage Paratrooper Cargo Shorts

I ordered a size up for my son, because reviews said to do so, because of their fitting size. I should have stuck with his size, and went with the large, but the XL fit well enough, after I gave them to my grandson. These shorts were exactly what he wanted. The only problem is that I didn't order him any other colors, so he is ordering them.

I ordered these and they fit as advertised. My previous Rothco shorts fit fine as long as I wear one layer underneath. I ordered these as I am on new prescription glasses and want a clear front. I can get two pairs for one. My son is a painter and is covered in toxic substances and I need shorts I can easily remove before I mess them up. I love my paint rollers and they are awesome with stainless handles but are a total pain in the *** to wash. These shorts look like I am on to something cool. The big cargo short has some limited leg room for 44's with a good 12 in front.

They look good. He loves them. He hasn't worn them yet because it's winter. They will go on a hiking trip.

The material used is thick and the overall design seems pretty well constructed, at least to my limited experience in that category of clothing. My teen-age grandson, to whom I am giving the gift, likes them a lot. He is not used to such large cargo pockets. The quality of workmanship seems quite adequate, but it will be a little difficult for him to wear the belt loops since they are fairly small in size and, since he wears a fairly snug belt when wearing other garments, it will be a challenge for him to find one that will fit.

I ordered the Rothco Pro Challenge Shorts in Tiger Stripe and they are fantastic. They are extremely comfortable and breathable. I have been wearing them to the gun range and working in the yard and I would say they are superior to my cut-off Levi's jean shorts that I was using before. The pockets on the shorts hold everything I carry in my cargo pants pockets and they are more comfortable than the Rothco BDU shorts I have been using for many years. I am looking forward to ordering more of these. 5-Stars for a good quality short that looks great. If you like military wear and/or the tiger stripe design, you'll love these shorts. The sizing chart is accurate. 5-Stars. I have ordered 2 sets of shorts and 2 sets of socks from Amazon and every item was as expected. No need to guess about the product - they are just as the image and specs say they are. I have already referred 2 of my closest shooting buddies to these shorts and they have both ordered a pair. You will like them.

I'm 6ft tall and they go to my mid calf. The small is too small and the medium fits perfectly. These have pockets for my knees. So there are pockets for 2 sets of everything but it's a vintage style design. They are really nice looking. The material is nice too and seems durable enough. If you are buying them for summer or warmer weather the material is thicker and stiffer than what you would want but they would still work great. These shorts look good and have the correct waist fitment, don't know why the other negative reviews are negative. But don't take my word for it... Try em for yourself.

This is my third pair of shorts from rothco in this pattern. Excellent for fishing. The pockets have little squares inside so it's not like you are trying to cram your hands in. It's easy to open and close with gloves on. There are loops for webbing to add even more gear if you need it. All pockets secure and sturdy. All I do is rip them apart and resew all the seem seams to make them all tighter and last longer and stronger. All for under $30 including all my resewing and the waterproof fabric coating. 10/10 would recommend

I bought these shorts because I saw they came down to about the calf. I wanted something that wasn't tight at the knee for when I ride motorcycle, go camping, etc. I have large calves so I couldn't go with something regular size. So glad I ordered these!! I ordered the 2xl size, 39-43" inseam, which fits my husband perfectly. They have pockets! Plenty of pockets. They are adjustable with straps on the sides so you can adjust the waistband if you need to, which my husband loves. I was worried about the fabric being too thin but it is quite thick and has held up great so far. I washed and hung to dry. They fit him perfectly and have held up so far! I ordered 2 more pairs and have gotten so many compliments. Definitely recommend these!!

These Rothco BDU paratrooper shorts are exactly what you would expect from a well known supplier of tactical clothing. They fit perfectly. I like to wear mine to barbeque or parties with my short shorts (kidding, not wearing short shorts, too) I bought a size large for loose fit and feel great. I was very impressed with how well they were put together and very good value. Very sturdy construction. If you like military look you will not be disappointed.

These shorts have all the original characteristics of an original Vietnam short issued by our army, including draw strings at the ankles, fabric belt loops and two inner buttons at each fly side for quick entry. I am sure these were once cotton but are made of a soft fabric like denim but still has the original material feel. Well done, thank you!

I was very pleased at the quality of these pants, 551 sream cotton and comfortable and I look forward to having them for a very long time.

These are just like in the picture. They run just a little bit large, the small size are for me a medium and the x small are a tight. It’s just right with these. My husband loves them

Fit was off at first. I wear a 38" in waist and 34 in length but got 2 sizes bigger. Got a medium. It was tight but looked like an ad, fit was off in my favor so I gave it to a friend. Got another medium. They shrank. Ordered a XL and they are just right now.

Fit as expected!

so I am normally an XL and had read the reviews of this item saying they were smaller than expected so I ordered the 2X, and they fit perfect!!. like "superhero" comfortable if that makes sense. My biggest problem with the 2X shorts is that they tend to ride up when I bend over and have to be pulled back down... not so with these... I have only had them a few days but so far so good! they are also light and have pockets that work. If I had to find something negative about them I would say that I wish the button fly was replaced with a zipper.

Great design and feel. Very good looking. BUT I am tall, but a skinny guy and I can see through the material. Too small. The thigh part is OK for shorts I guess, but the leg is very very short. Not sure what the market this short is going for, but the waist size is good and I could pull it up and get my belly through. Overall I think these are pretty good, I just feel bad I can't wear them. Also I did return mine for the right size which was fine. It took about 1 week, as others have reported here, but it is a decent quality shorts for the material, look and feel.

The best cargo shorts I have found! They're a tad large but that is to be expected. Very pleased with the product.
