Rothco based these cargo shorts on the field-worn paratrooper uniforms of earlier decades. The cut is loose and the storage is practical, with six pockets for a phone, keys, wallet and small tools. The washed twill feels soft from the first day, so they work for warm-weather range days, yard work, camping or everyday wear in plain black.

• Washed Cotton/Poly Twill — A 55% cotton, 45% polyester twill (a tight diagonal weave that holds up to abrasion) is pre-washed for a soft hand, and the polyester adds durability.
• Six-Pocket Layout — Two front slash pockets, two thigh cargo pockets and two rear pockets spread your load around the shorts.
• Flapped Cargo Pockets — A roomy pocket on each thigh has a covering flap that keeps contents from bouncing out when you move.
• Rear Flap Pockets — Both back pockets sit under wide flaps, which help keep a wallet in place when you sit or crouch.
• Front Slash Pockets — Angled openings at the hips let you reach in easily while standing or walking.
• Zipper Fly And Button — A zipper fly with a single button at the waistband gives a secure, conventional closure.

Fabric And Fit

The cotton-poly twill blend breathes like cotton and wears longer than an all-cotton short, and the washed finish skips the stiff break-in period. The relaxed cut ends around the knee and leaves room to move. With the inner drawstring you can fine-tune the waist between sizes.
