Khaki Vintage Paratrooper Cargo Shorts

As others have said they are oversized and the belt loops will let them fall if you don't cinch them tight. But overall these were a perfect pair of camping shorts and my dog loves the pockets too.

The only way this shorts could be any better is if I had one of each color. I own a custom welding shop. The waistline is very adjustable, great for larger guts.

A great buy if you like vintage or hipster clothes. A great fit, very well made, very comfortable. No need for saddle bags if you wear these to ride your bicycle. Very fashionable but functional. Good quality. I bought a few pair and gave some to my kids. They fit like they were tailored for me. A Great find!

These shorts are absolutely perfect! The stitching is heavy duty and sturdy, the fabric weight is perfect and not too heavy, and the pocket design has classic paratrooper looks. These shorts run big, just like vintage military garments and surplus goods. The drawstring was in excellent shape and added to the 70s feeling that these have. I plan to wear these for camping, riding my motorcycle, or going out to the car shows! Thanks Rothco!

I was concerned that fabric quality would be sub-par but it's quite acceptable.

Wow these are the same quality as in old NOSs from the 80s-ish in all the right ways except these are updated and modern for better comfort with newer fabric and materials, true waistline, awesome pockets for everything except pants/boxers (and still can get pants/boxers thru leg with stretch in fabric of course), the fly is in the standard front fly location but its even reinforced more like the classic cargo BDU pants (i've had some of those before too, these shorts fit great for size with a 5" longer length for the hem in the crotch region) like it has extra stretch at that region to not feel too baggy but fits right with stretch in waistline and leg and its not even baggy or too long in the length region. Wish i had found these earlier before i ruined my 2 favorite cutoffs i had by putting an extra seam on the waist for a low waistline to use my slim jim through with great results but no, they have these awesome originals, woot!! Pssst hey...does someone have one of those awesome double ended floss thread sewing machine thongs with 1 side a regular size and other side thicker & smaller, it could really help you on getting that extra waistline length for that low waist trend i have mentioned here, please contact my gmail bstow@mail.ru for those two tops w/ tags you can spare...maybe one from them i could do the same in swap with a couple pairs of those too in swap. Bought a few different colors. Comfortable, durable and great looking. Highly recommend.

The pants were awesome, perfect fit, sturdy and heavy duty and very cool looking. They are kind of loud and bright so if you're worried about being mistaken for the Grateful Dead this isn't the look for you. I wear them a lot, they are comfortable and have enough pockets to store a few goodies. If your are not carrying guns, knives or other things of that nature I recommend skipping the thigh pouches.

Just what I was looking for! It was very large and the quality is awesome! I have since returned it for the medium which I hope fits. If it does I will keep them.

These have to be the strangest pair of BDU shorts I have ever purchased. They are quite long (which works fine with me) and appear quite bright. However, when you get them out of the package, wash them, and wear them, the color turns out to be just fine. They do need a button, as another buyer mentioned, but I found one and installed it and the issue is resolved. These have a single button-fly, and are a little tricky to open and close, especially if you have weak or damaged knees. The fabric of the shorts appears to be a light weight and thin rip-stop. It has not shown any signs of failure or wear, yet. My favorite aspect of these is the pockets. All of the Rothco products that I have purchased to date have one of two pockets that will NOT retain anything, but are actually "grommets" in a very thin piece of fabric, and do not close or retain anything. These shorts, however, have deep pockets that close, are sturdy, have an elastic band to retain a "purse-style" closure and do not spill the contents when bending over or taking a deep knee. These will not stay in the top of your "thin skin" pocket in your cargo pants. My favorite item of military apparel that is ever out there, hands down. The sleeves are slightly tight, but have an extra layer that gives me a little extra "wiggle room" and the shorts do not feel tight. These are perfect for work around the house or yard, around town or camping. I plan to buy a couple more pair. If these last as long as some of my other Rothco items, I would recommend them. I will update this as time goes on.

Just like all the others of that era... my best fit, especially for outdoor working conditions, the only thing that bothers me, not for work... the strings in the fly are to long... need to trim! other than that... if these are "new to you" they are exactly what you want in the cut of your jeans...I just happen to like them better in cargo shorts... all my pants and shorts are of this design, the world could use a bit more old fashion style... well the elite of course, like what ever they please, they have always and always will! Vest? long lost but coming back around. shorts as I like them for me are just a passing fad and always were! ahem... vive la difference. ... Dave PS: There was no size available that fit, so a little shrink, or tug and I am in! just what I wanted! Thanks for making them like they used to be!... only difference is no buttons on the fly! button up on old fashion shirt, button down on cargo short! btw, when the USA went modern with fashions... everyone and everything went up a notch!

The fit was just as described, only thing I didn't like was that they were just like the same ones that I had to have altered at our tailor, these were baggy and long but nice shorts, maybe if they would've fit me I wouldn't have had to have them tailored, I will be getting more pairs in the future

Very comfy! I got lots of complements! The only downside was I got them in the correct size, but the small ones were actually a bit big. But they're definitely good for me and my boyfriend so that's a win.

Well-made, and I'm glad they had the same fit and finish I had back in the day. Bought two of them and both fit and feel great. Very well made, and would recommend these to a friend. Wash and dry well. Wear 'em with a golf shirt and they're great casual wear.

got these for my husband to wear to re-live the 80's!!! He says the fit great and are just as good as his old issued ones. Love them! He says his is 5'10" and weighs 180 and wears a medium, with room to spare, but not much, they fit great!! The red stripe was an added plus, made him smile when he saw them in the bag! Great vintage camo shorts. I use these to airsoft on private land where no camo is allowed.

I really like these. I would like them even better if they were available in XXL size for the taller fellows out there. I'm 6'5

This product fit my son exactly as I had hoped it would. We live on a farm and he rides dirt bikes. The zipper is an extra feature to ensure safety, as I am sure my son won't forget how to tie shoes and the buckle may slip. However, I have found the extra pull string on the side helps with holding it securely.
