MTP GSR Field Pack

This is the British Army's GSR respirator haversack, the bag issued to carry the service gas mask, its filters and inner components where a soldier can reach them quickly. It works as a compact grab bag, a side satchel or a pouch mounted straight onto a vest. Two detachable side pouches add room for smaller kit. It is finished in MTP (Multi-Terrain Pattern), the camouflage the British Army has issued across its forces in place of DPM.

Features

• Cordura Nylon Construction — Heavy-duty Cordura nylon resists abrasion, and bar-tacked stitching (dense zig-zag reinforcement) backs up the stress points.
• Rear MOLLE/PALS Webbing — Rows of webbing straps on the back let you weave the pack directly onto a MOLLE-compatible vest, belt or rig instead of slinging it.
• Two Detachable Side Pouches — Each side carries a flapped pouch with a hook-and-loop closure, and both unclip from the PALS webbing at the rear by press-stud straps.
• Secure Lid Closure — The large front lid closes with double hook-and-loop panels and press studs, and a webbing pull tab helps you open it fast.
• Twin Expansion Zips — Two zips on the front open out the body for extra depth, operated by a combined zip pull.
• Detachable Shoulder Strap — An adjustable webbing strap clips to metal D-rings on snap hooks and has a quick-release buckle for getting the bag off in a hurry.
• Internal Mask Fittings — Four press studs inside hold GSR mask inners in place, with two side compartments sized for spare filters.
• Compact Footprint — The main body measures approximately 13 x 11 x 5 in (33 x 28 x 13 cm) and the pack weighs roughly 1.8 lb (800 g).

Issue Specification

This is genuine British Army issue, carrying NATO Stock Number 8465-99-434-6734, the catalogue code used to supply it through military channels. It was made to the British forces' own specification for carrying the GSR respirator, so the cut, hardware and internal layout are the originals rather than a commercial maker's version. For collectors and reenactors building a current-era British loadout, it is the correct haversack in the correct pattern. For everyone else it is a tough, well-organized MOLLE bag with real service provenance.
