British Osprey 40mm Grenade Pouch

Osprey 40mm Grenade Pouch

This is a single-round 40mm grenade pouch made for the British Army's Osprey body armor system. It holds one 40mm round, the type fired from under-barrel grenade launchers, in a closed pouch that sits on the vest where you can reach it. Collectors of British desert kit, reenactors building an Osprey-era loadout, and anyone who needs a small secure pouch for a MOLLE vest will find it useful.

Features

• Genuine British Army Issue — This is original government-issue kit, labeled and stock-numbered by the British military.
• Desert DPM Camouflage — The fabric is printed in Desert DPM (Disruptive Pattern Material), the British Army's tan and brown desert camouflage.
• Single 40mm Round Capacity — The upright body is sized to hold one 40mm grenade, as marked on the internal label.
• Quick-Release Buckle Lid — A webbing strap and black side-release buckle hold the lid down and open with one squeeze of the clip.
• Adjustable Lid Strap — The strap runs through a slider, so you can tighten or loosen the lid to suit what is inside.
• PALS-Compatible Rear Strap — A webbing strap on the back weaves through PALS loops, the horizontal rows of webbing on MOLLE vests and Osprey armor, and fastens with a metal press stud.
• Tape-Bound Edges — The seams and opening are finished with tan binding tape for a clean edge around the pouch.
• NSN Labeled — The label carries NATO Stock Number 8415-99-461-4937, the military's catalogue number for this exact item, along with contract and batch markings.

British Issue Detail

The sewn-in label reads "Pouch 40mm Grenade" with NSN 8415-99-461-4937, contract DC1A/1024 and Batch 5, which identifies it as an issued item rather than a commercial copy. It belongs to the Osprey family of pouches, which attach directly to the PALS webbing on Osprey armor. The same rear strap fits most other MOLLE vests, belts and packs, so the pouch is not limited to an Osprey carrier.
