Osprey Utility Pouch

This is the general-purpose utility pouch issued by the British Army for the Osprey body armor system, in desert DPM camouflage. It carries the small kit a soldier needs close to hand, and its MOLLE straps let it ride on the Osprey vest or any other PALS-equipped vest, belt or pack. A buckled lid and drawstring inner sleeve keep the contents secure and help keep sand out.

• Desert DPM Camouflage — Disruptive Pattern Material, the British Army's camouflage, appears here in its desert colorway of pale sand with tan and brown patches.
• Quick-Release Buckle Lid — A plastic side-release buckle on an adjustable strap holds the lid shut and opens with a squeeze of the tabs.
• Hook-And-Loop Closure — Matching hook-and-loop patches under the lid and on the front of the pouch hold the flap down alongside the buckle.
• Drawstring Inner Sleeve — A fabric collar inside the mouth cinches shut with a cord and cord lock, giving the contents a second layer of cover against dust and sand.
• MOLLE Attachment Straps — Two webbing straps on the back weave through PALS webbing, the grid of horizontal loops found on military vests and packs, and fasten at the bottom with press studs.
• Rear Webbing Channels — Horizontal webbing across the back guides the straps so the pouch sits flat and stays put once mounted.
• Drainage Eyelets — Two metal eyelets in the lower rear of the pouch let water drain out instead of pooling inside.
• NSN Issue Label — A sewn-in label reads Utility Pouch with NSN 8415-99-461-4934, the NATO Stock Number used to identify the item in military supply, plus spaces for a name and number.

Osprey is the British body armor system built around MOLLE attachment, and this pouch was made to that standard for British Army use. The label carries the official NSN and contract marking, which confirms it as genuine government issue and not a commercial copy.
