Osprey AP Grenade Pouch

This single-grenade pouch is British Army issue, made to ride on the Osprey Mk4 and Mk4A body armour vests. It holds one anti-personnel (AP) grenade under a buckled lid, close to hand and secure while moving. Today it suits collectors of British kit, reenactors building a Desert DPM loadout, and anyone who wants a compact, rugged pouch for a MOLLE vest or belt.

Features

• Desert DPM Camouflage — The fabric is printed in Desert Disruptive Pattern Material, the British Army's tan and brown desert camouflage.
• 1000 Denier Nylon — The body is cut from heavy woven nylon (denier measures thread weight, and 1000D is a thick, abrasion-resistant grade) that resists scuffs and tears.
• Quick-Release Buckle Lid — A side-release plastic buckle closes the flap and opens with one squeeze when you need the contents.
• MOLLE-Compatible Straps — Two rear straps weave through MOLLE webbing, the rows of nylon loops on vests and packs, so you can mount the pouch wherever you want it.
• Press Stud Fastening — Each strap locks down with a metal press stud, which keeps the pouch tight against the carrier.
• Drainage Eyelet — A metal eyelet in the base lets water escape instead of pooling inside.
• Bound Edges — Tan binding tape runs around the seams and lid edge to reinforce the stitching.
• Original Issue Label — An interior label reads POUCH AP GRENADE with NSN 8415-99-461-4939 (the NATO Stock Number used to catalogue military supply items) and a contract code.

British Army Issue

The pouch was issued as part of the Osprey Mk4 and Mk4A armour system, the British Army's modular body armour, and it carries the same NSN and labelling as the items soldiers drew from stores. It measures roughly 4.3 in (11 cm) tall, sized for one grenade. Because it uses standard MOLLE straps, it also fits most other vests, plate carriers, belts and packs with PALS webbing.
