Bag Review
Review by Keepshooting Customer
I was extremely happy with this purchase. I use this bag for a lot of things like my bible, a tablet, journals, tissues and sometimes an oxygen bottle and a book or 2. My hubby also likes to put stuff in it for work. It is not too small and not too big and it has compartments that help organize things and I like that a lot. The shoulder strap works great and is very durable and easy to adjust. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a functional organizer. The canvas is a great material that doesn't tear easily and holds up well in the wash. I would highly recommend. Thank you Rothco.

Nice looking, quality made messenger bag
Review by Keepshooting Customer
Needed a simple shoulder bag that was not very flashy. This fit the bill perfectly. I can't comment on the durability of the product yet, as I've only had it for a few weeks. The canvas is very thick, and the stitching is nice and tight. There is plenty of room inside for most of my needs. One downside is that it does not have a credit card slot. I do have another card slot on the front, which I rarely use. So I'm good with that, as it means less bulk on the front of the bag. This has become my regular traveling bag, and I plan to use it on my trip to Asia. I think this will be a nice alternative to a briefcase. This was the most affordable product that met my basic needs. My previous Rothco messenger bag was fine for awhile, but developed a number of flaws over time. I needed something more durable, and this Rothco bag seems to fit the bill. I am happy with this bag, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a simple shoulder bag that won't cost a lot. I would also recommend Rothco military clothing to anyone in the US military. I own several Rothco products, and they are very durable. The material is heavy duty and very well made. The color is vibrant, and I have not noticed any fading after several washings. I will continue to use this bag for many years. I would not hesitate to buy another one if the need arises. I just ordered a small Rothco map case, and a long range GI assault shoulder bag, both in coyote brown. If they are as good as this bag, I'll be well pleased. UPDATE- After a number of trips to the US, Thailand, and Vietnam, I am happy with this messenger bag. I have learned that you need a secure way to carry the weight on your shoulders, and there are a number of great ways to carry weight that are pretty uncomfortable. The military/industrial look that many are looking for is perfect. In the image that is included, you will notice that the main compartment opens completely. It's important to have quick access to whatever you may be looking for. The main compartment is a good size,

Military-Style, Good Value
Review by Keepshooting Customer
24.75” long by 17” wide. Price was about half of another (now-unavailable) source, free delivery and good to go. Only one pocket, held up well to over 20lbs. worth of gear. The yellow cotton zipper pull is plastic. It’s not for hanging the case from something. Just inside flap pocket is a small tear, hardly noticeable, but also, as other reviewers have said, don’t expect a spotless exterior. Re-enactment, yardwork or travel — you get the durable, retro feel you expect from mil-spec. You can tell they took the design very seriously. Overall I’m satisfied with the bag. If you’re reading this and thinking about getting one — you’re right. It’s what you’re looking for.

I am 5'7, and it is slightly too long for my height, but it works great. If I had the money, I would buy a smaller one inch size one, because I like how the shoulder strap can be taken out and used as a belt for holding down books or a back pack.

I would have given 5 stars if it had pockets
Review by Keepshooting Customer
Not a fan of "man purses" and this thing looked pretty cheesy, but it ended up being exactly what I needed. Good quality, no flash, no nonsense. I will definitely buy another when I need to. Recommended.

Nice, basic map case
Review by Keepshooting Customer
This map case is pretty basic, but what it lacks in bells and whistles it makes up for in sturdiness. The canvas is sturdy, and the brass zippers are nice and heavy. The canvas has a smooth finish, so it won't snag on brushes and won't scratch your clothes. I love the exterior pockets, but the only complaint I have is that there is no back straps to keep the case on your shoulder.

Sturdy! Wish it had better shoulder strap attachment points
Review by Keepshooting Customer
Sturdy bag, and plenty big enough for whatever it is you want to put in it. My only gripe is that the top and bottom cross straps have a sort of slide buckle that has the attachment points integrated in the sides of the straps, which means they're not going to line up perfectly on any shoulder strap you may use. For a smaller bag this would be fine, but for a medium sized one it would be nice if the strap attachment point lines were a little longer and if there were more attach points for other longer straps.
