    Awesome backpack! Everything i needed and more! Highly recommend this to anyone and very affordable!! I had a cheap army surplus mini backpack that i used to throw everything into, however i outgrew that bag as a teen and went on a very extensive journey of 2 years and decided to pick up a new mini bag. This bag can literally carry everything i need and more. I will never have to use this thing for just one type of journey! I put all of my survival items in the main compartment with a waterproof survival card that fits inside a little leather wallet inside the bag. The two little pockets on either side fit a compass and a pocket knife. My survival knife and a paracord survival strap go in the front of the backpack, where it is easy to access. The top of the bag is unzipped to a little square that i can turn into a satchel to fit more stuff. My mess kit and small tin of Sterno go into the second big compartment, along with my two flashlights, a wool blanket and my sleeping bag roll. On top of that i have another paracord wrapped over the straps, with about 15 feet left over for rope for hammock camping and other needs. There is no lack of compartments or space for you stuff! This bag was great and now my new bag, made to endure for many years. The heavy duty construction of all the buckles, nylon straps and strong buckled waistband makes it worth it. Great deal on an awesome product!! Thanks Rothco!!!

    Went with the olive drab since I already have a few rucksacks in camo pattern. Very durable. I plan to use this to keep small gear on the outside of my big rucksack when hiking and also for an occasional overnight bag for quick weekend trip. There is still room for an internal frame to give it some rigidity. Recommended. Update: Ordered the tan color as well for an office go bag. If you can carry the weight it will last for a very long time. Highly recommend

    I bought the product as a replacement for the military type I used in Vietnam, that wore out after 40 years of service. It has less space than the older type and doesn't fit all the equipment that I carried before. The drawstrings on the end pieces will break with some wear.
