CAC S200 Folder

The CAC S200 is the folding knife issued to the French armed forces, made in France by TB (Tactical Blades / Fontenille Pataud). It is built as a one-hand working and rescue tool: a drop-point blade you can open and lock from either hand, plus a strap cutter and glass breaker built into the tail. This black version runs an all-black blade and black fiberglass-reinforced handle scales.

Features

• Nitrox Steel Blade — The drop-point blade is cut from Nitrox, a high-nitrogen, high-chromium stainless steel chosen because it resists rust, holds an edge, and sharpens easily in the field.
• PVD Black Coating — A physical vapor deposition finish, a hard thin coating bonded to the steel, cuts glare and adds corrosion resistance to the blade.
• Axis Lock — A spring-loaded crossbar runs through the blade tang so you can open, lock, and release the blade with either hand without putting fingers in the blade path.
• Dual Thumb Studs — Studs on both sides of the blade let you flick it open one-handed whether you are right or left handed.
• Glass Breaker And Strap Cutter — A hardened point at the tail shatters vehicle glass, and a recessed hooked blade beside it slices through seatbelts and webbing without opening the main blade.
• Jimping And Fire Striker — The toothed spine section gives your thumb grip for control and doubles as a striker for a ferro rod.
• PA6 Handle Scales — The sculpted handle is fiberglass-reinforced PA6 nylon, a tough impact-resistant polymer, textured for grip in wet or gloved hands.
• Reversible Pocket Clip — The steel clip can be moved to carry tip-up on either side of the handle.
• Adjustable Blade Tension — A resistance-setting screw lets you dial in how much force it takes to open and close, and an anti-rotation screw keeps that setting from backing out through use and vibration.
• Lanyard Hole — An opening at the tail takes a cord or lanyard for a retention loop.

CAC stands for Couteau de l'Armee de Terre, the French Army's standard-issue folder, and the S200 is marked "Fabrique en France" on the blade. The design packs the tools a soldier actually reaches for into one pocketable folder: a locking cutting blade, a way out of a seatbelt, and a way through a vehicle window.
