Cascade Cartridge Inc., commonly known as CCI, is an ammunition manufacturer based in Lewiston, Idaho that specializes in rimfire ammunition, centerfire handgun ammunition and primers. Established by Dick Speer, brother of Vernon Speer, in 1951 as a steady source for primers, CCI evolved quickly into the full-scale operation dedicated to providing shooters with a wide variety of ammunition targeted for specific applications that it is today.

Now, more than 60 years later, CCI is a subsidiary of Alliant Techsystems – a conglomerate that owns the Federal Cartridge Company as well as many other high-profile ammunition manufacturers while also holding the production contract for the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant (LCAAP) in Independence, Missouri. This partnership furthered CCI's ability to provide shooters with innovative new products marked by their consistent performance and unyielding reliability. Moreover, it has placed the company among the leaders in the rimfire ammunition industry. With ties like that, CCI is a name that shooters can trust.

CCI .22 LR No. 12 shot is a product from the company's extensive line of pest control ammunition. The pest control lineup offers a variety of rimfire and centerfire handgun loads in several different calibers that utilize the innovative bullet and shot technologies developed by CCI over the course of its storied history. Whether using a traditional projectile or shot, each product in the pest control line is marked by its consistent high performance, uncanny accuracy and outstanding value – all qualities that make this ammunition a perfect choice to take down any pest.

That said each box of CCI .22 LR No. 12 shot, as noted, contains 20 non-corrosive, brass-cased rimfire shotshells. Each shotshell weighs 31 gr and contains No. 12 shot, which provides an excellent option for taking care of pests at close range while also providing respectable muzzle velocities. In fact, this particular load is capable of producing muzzle velocities that have been observed to travel at speeds of up to 1,000 fps. All CCI ammunition is manufactured using premium raw materials and newly manufactured brass cases in the United States at their main manufacturing facility in Lewiston, Idaho.

This is a Specialty round!
Be aware before buying this that this is a specialty round made for killing rats and snakes in the barn and such, They are useless for target shooting
I keep a couple of boxes on hand for critters on trash night, (coons, possums, feild mice/RATS, etc)
Hazaerd of living in the country:-)
At close ranges (5 to 15 yaeds) this will give a small critter a leathal case of lead poisoning! Plus you don't have to worry about a round getting loose and hitting a neighbors house
Also It will NOT cycle autoloaders!
I use it in my HR Revolver and when I catch a coon tearing the lid off my trash can on the back porch I put it down quickly, cleanly and quietlly
Use it for what its made for and it will serve you well
