CCI 22 Short Noise Blanks

22 Short Noise Blanks

CCI 22 Short Noise Blanks give you a gunshot report without a bullet. They are for times when you need the sound and nothing downrange: conditioning a bird dog to gunfire, starting a race, scaring pests off a property, or firing on a stage or film set. Each box holds 100 cartridges, and CCI loads them in Lewiston, Idaho.

Features

• .22 Short Caliber — Sized for firearms chambered in .22 Short, and they can also be fired in guns chambered for .22 Long and .22 Long Rifle.
• No Projectile — A blank holds powder and primer but no bullet, so firing one produces noise and gas without sending a projectile downrange.
• Crimped Brass Case — The mouth of each brass case is folded closed in a star-shaped crimp that holds the charge in place where a bullet would normally sit.
• Smokeless Powder — The charge uses smokeless powder, the modern propellant that burns cleaner than old-style black powder.
• 100 Rounds Per Box — One box covers several training sessions or a full event day.
• Training Load — CCI labels these for training, and they are a common choice for teaching hunting dogs to stay steady under gunfire.
• Manual Actions Only — Without a bullet there is not enough pressure to cycle a semi-automatic, so use them in revolvers, single-shots, starter pistols or other manually operated guns.
• Made In USA — CCI/Speer Operations manufactures them in Lewiston, Idaho.

Fit And Safe Use

Because they are rimfire cartridges, they work in any gun or blank tool built to take .22 Short. A semi-automatic will need to be cycled by hand after every shot. Treat a blank with the same care as live ammunition. The muzzle blast and any debris from the crimp can cause injury at close range, so never point the gun at a person or animal.
