The Chairman Mao Cap is an Officer's version of the famous hat worn by Mao Zedong. Made from a heavy grade wool-blend material, this substantial cap is clearly a military produced version of this hat and not a common commercial copy.

Description

The Chairman Mao Hat is a hat easily recognized by anyone alive during the Cold War. The leader of Communist China, Chairman Mao Zedong, wore this style of hat along with his "Mao Suit" anytime he was photographed in public. These Mao Hats have become quite popular in Asia, and we were lucky enough to import a small quantity of the Officer's version of this hat.

  • Made from a heavy wool-blend material, not the usual light weight polyester
  • Correct Chinese factory markings are inside each cap
  • Red Army Star has been installed on each hat in the correct position

i love this hat. it fits perfect i went with the 7 1/4 and that is a large on a hat size chart. my head is 22 inches round so the 7 1/4 was perfect for me. and there is a sweat band sewn in to the hat its kinda like rain coat material and my fore head does not itch from the wool, and if anyone is wondering yes the star can come off very easy its just a pin. thank you keep shooting
