Vertx
Low-Profile Tactical & EDC
Vertx pioneered low-profile tactical gear — covert on the outside, fully capable on the inside. At Keep Shooting we carry the Gamut 18-Hour backpack, the EDC Commuter and Transit sling bags with rapid-access concealed-carry compartments, and the Tactigami MPH holster. Blend in, stay ready.
About Vertx
Vertx makes gear that hides in plain sight — everyday-carry bags and packs with serious concealed-carry capability built in. At Keep Shooting we carry its backpacks, sling bags, and the modular Tactigami holster, all designed to keep you ready without looking the part.
The Low-Profile Pioneers
Vertx was founded in 2009 when a top federal agency asked for something that didn’t exist yet: a tactical pant that performed like duty gear but looked like ordinary clothing. The company could deliver because of its parent, Fechheimer Brothers Company — a uniform maker founded in 1842 and owned by Berkshire Hathaway, with more than 175 years of outfitting experience. That first low-profile pant defined a whole category: gear with a covert appearance and overt functionality. From there Vertx expanded into combat shirts, outerwear, holsters, and the bags it’s best known for today, along with its Tactigami modular organization system. The idea never changed — blend in, stay ready.
EDC & Concealed-Carry Bags
The heart of the Vertx line is carry. The Gamut 18-Hour Backpack (VTX5015) is a 28-liter everyday pack with a rapid-access concealed-carry compartment, a 15-inch laptop sleeve, loop-lined organization, and the signature Hot-Pull tab for a fast draw — all in a bag that reads as a normal commuter pack. When you want to carry across the body, the EDC Commuter Sling (VTX5010) packs a 23-liter capacity, a 15-inch laptop sleeve, a forward-opening CCW field, and an orbital strap that swings the bag to the front for quick access, while the compact EDC Transit Sling (VTX5040) adds a Tactigami/MOLLE interior and a luggage pass-through for travel. They sit right alongside other low-profile makers like 5.11 Tactical and Maxpedition in our bags & packs.
Tactigami Modular Carry
What makes a Vertx bag a carry system is Tactigami — loop-and-hook panels and wraps that let you build the interior to fit your gear. The Tactigami MPH Full Multi-Purpose Holster is the key piece: a universal, ambidextrous holster that fits virtually any full-size handgun, using a Velcro One-Wrap body with TPR retention so it locks securely anywhere inside a Vertx pack for true off-body carry. It turns a sling or backpack into a discreet, ready-to-draw platform. Explore the rest of Vertx and our wider tactical gear in the equipment department.
