Corbon DPX 380 ACP Personal Defense Ammo

Solid Copper .380 Defense

Cor-Bon DPX is personal defense ammunition for .380 ACP pistols, the small, easily concealed handguns many people carry every day. Short-barreled .380s give a bullet less velocity to work with, and DPX (Deep Penetrating X-panding) uses a solid copper hollow point designed to drive deep and still open up. This box holds 20 cartridges for loading your carry magazines and checking function in your own pistol.

Features

• .380 ACP Caliber — Chambered for pistols marked .380 ACP, also known as .380 Auto, 9mm Kurz or 9x17mm.
• 80 Grain Bullet Weight — Grains are the standard unit for bullet weight, and 80 grains keeps this load light for its caliber.
• Solid Copper Construction — The bullet is one piece of copper with no lead core, so there is no jacket that can separate from the core on impact.
• Hollow Point Design — A cavity in the nose makes the bullet open into petals when it strikes, which widens the wound channel.
• Deep Penetrating X-panding — The DPX name describes the goal of the design: penetrate deeply first, then expand.
• High Velocity Load — Cor-Bon labels DPX as high velocity ammunition, loaded to get the most out of short pistol barrels.
• Nickel-Finish Cases — Silver-colored plated cases resist corrosion and make it easy to tell your defensive rounds apart from range ammo.
• 20 Cartridges Per Box — Enough to fill several compact .380 magazines with some left to test-fire.
• Made In USA — Loaded by Cor-Bon in Sturgis, South Dakota, a company making ammunition since 1982.

Build and Compatibility

DPX fits any firearm chambered in .380 ACP. Despite the 9mm Kurz name, it is a different cartridge from 9mm Luger (9x19mm) and must not be fired in a 9mm Luger pistol. Because copper is lighter than lead, a solid copper bullet is longer than a lead-core bullet of the same weight, so run a few magazines through your own pistol to confirm it feeds smoothly before you carry it.
