This is a US military gas mask pouch made by Eagle Industries, a long-standing military contractor. It holds a standard military gas mask on your vest, plate carrier, belt or pack, where you can reach it quickly. It works just as well as a general-purpose dump or utility pouch for anything bulky that you want kept close.

Features

• 500D CORDURA Nylon — The body is cut from 500-denier CORDURA, a heavy woven nylon rated by the thickness of its fibers and chosen for abrasion resistance in the field.
• MOLLE-Compatible Mounting — Four straps on the back weave through PALS webbing, the rows of nylon loops on military vests and packs, so the pouch sits wherever you want it.
• Snap-Secured Straps — Each mounting strap ends in a metal snap that locks it in place once it is threaded through the webbing.
• Hook-And-Loop Flap — A wide front flap closes with hook-and-loop fastener and has a webbing pull tab, so you can open it with gloves on.
• Elastic Retention — The gathered elastic body grips the mask snugly so it does not shift or rattle when you move.
• Gas Mask Sizing — The pouch measures approximately 10.25 in wide, 9 in high and 3.5 in deep (26 x 23 x 9 cm), sized for a standard military gas mask.
• Khaki Colorway — The khaki finish matches coyote and tan load-bearing gear.
• Made In The USA — Eagle Industries manufactured the pouch in the United States on a military contract.

Original Specification

The pouch was originally issued as part of the Special Forces Load Carrying System (SFLCS), the modular kit used by US Special Forces. A sewn-in label on the back identifies it as a gas mask pouch, model GMC-M5-KH, with its contract number and a 09/07 date. Collectors, reenactors and working users get the genuine contract-built item with its original markings and materials, not a commercial copy.
