The East German Interior Ministry Gold 20-Year Service Medal is an authentic DDR-era decoration awarded for twenty years of faithful service in the armed organs of the Ministerium des Innern. Officially titled the Medaille für treue Dienste in den bewaffneten Organen des Ministeriums des Innern, the gilded medal sits at the top of the three-tier service award alongside silver (15-year) and bronze (10-year) grades. The 34.5mm struck medal features the DDR state emblem set in a police star within an oak leaf wreath, suspended from the original Volkspolizei-pattern ribbon. A solid addition for collectors of Cold War militaria, East German uniform groupings, or DDR award sets.

Cool commie collectible, wife hates itlol my wife thinks its weird that I collect this stuff but I dont care its history. Medal looks great on display. Customer service answered my question about authenticity real quick which I apreciated since I wasnt sure if these were repros or not. Theyre not, 100% genuine article.
