Finnish Military Puukko

The M95 Ranger Puukko is a fixed-blade knife designed by J-P Peltonen for Finnish military use. A puukko is the traditional Finnish belt knife: a single straight blade and a full hand-filling grip, made for carving, whittling and general camp work. This version carries a black Cerakote finish and comes with a polymer sheath and webbing strap, so it is ready for a belt or load-bearing vest. It suits bushcrafters, hunters and collectors of Nordic military kit.

• Adjustable Webbing Strap — A black nylon webbing strap with a slide buckle mounts the sheath to a belt or vest webbing.
• J-P Peltonen Markings — The handle is molded with the J-P Peltonen name and FINLAND.

Design and Origin

J-P Peltonen of Finland designed the M95 originally for military use, and the packaging says as much. The layout is simple: one blade, a synthetic handle shaped to fill the hand, and a sheath that clips shut and straps to kit. The black Cerakote finish gives the blade a matte, low-glare look that matches the all-black handle and sheath.
