Exactly as advertised. A perfect parka, good to the extreme temperatures found in ND. Warm, with removable mid-layer and ample pockets. Couldn't be happier. I ordered XL and the fit was right.

It's pretty thick, as I would expect. A water proofing coating? Whatever it is. it's not sticky. Keeps me dry. I like it a lot. Just a bit big for my 6' frame. Had it notty been short, or long, I'd keep it. But that being the case, gotta send it on it's merry way, as my old ass doesn't feel too cool standing around all baggy. So again...great value, just run big. Size down one for best results. Great Quality. As far as being genuine army gear? Absolutely no problem. Fits my purpose.

parka is heavy weight but then you expect it to be for that price. Good value. good pockets inside. no name on label inside but not cheap poly material either. my daughter wants it. seller shipped it fast.

Wearing it right now. Excellent. Warm. Lots of zippers. Looks and feels like new. A bit long but a nice warm sweater like jacket.

Bought this coat for wear in mild temperatures. Nice quality with great attention to detail in materials and stitching. I am not big, so this coat is on the short side for me, but still has room for my thick 4X belly (295 lbs). My issue is that the pull strings on each sleeve tend to pull the arm hole away from my sleeve when taking my coat off. Otherwise, I'm happy with this fine coat.

Good parka, has all sorts of extra pouches and strap points to attach stuff to. Seems well built and in great condition

Excellent all round parka with a lovely burly all polyester liner. My 30 year Parka is starting to give up the GPL ghost after 5 years of damp / heavy/ very cold usage and has seen service as a rug in which I rolled around on , then rolled up and left outside in - 15C temperatures to dry. Fits very comfortably, pockets deep and all functional parts solid and well thought out, taped at stress points and generously water repellent'd pockets, not tight glued, some what elastic in fabric areas (but stiched down).
Now in early stages of refurbishment. Examples of later coats in photo look perfect and mine was in this stage, there were only one of two small areas of loose stitches that would need replacement or filling with extra stitching. Inside pockets all tight, water reellanted nicely in non foul air drier. Has been stored and maintained very well over its long life so looks brand new after light washing. Heavy heavy weight, probably as lightweight a layer of outer fabric as can be managed with 100% worsted German wool. Great Parka and looks like I will be using this one well into my old years. Good Value. It was so cold at - 30C I never used this during this winter, lucky I brought an old but perfectly sound down/polypropylene shell as my back up, it kept me from a frost bitt toes when it dropped 40C in a few days last month. As my real emergency out shell its the best I ever used. So light and very very very toasty. I wore the park under my musher suit as well as just by itself with long un tucked in shirt and sweater for layering with. Not many are available but this one is the best, mine has the good size adjustable elastic wrist strap and a solid belt to keep your snoot out of the layers below. As usual with surplus it was as described, clean as they come and as functional as can be with
