Bundeswehr Field Shirt

This is the German Army field shirt in Flecktarn, the Bundeswehr's dotted camouflage of greens, browns, tan and black built to break up a wearer's outline in woodland. It was cut as a working shirt for soldiers in the field, so it carries the pockets, closures and insignia fittings a soldier needed. Collectors, reenactors, hunters and anyone who wants a hard-wearing outer shirt for camp or range will find it does the same job today.

Features

• Flecktarn Camouflage — The German pattern of small overlapping dots in several earth tones blends into mixed woodland at short and medium range.
• Cotton-Polyester Blend — Cotton keeps the shirt breathable against the skin, and polyester adds strength and helps it hold its shape through repeated washing.
• Snap Front Closure — Dark metal snap fasteners run down the front placket and close quickly, even with gloves on.
• Twin Chest Pockets — Two large patch pockets each close under a flap secured by a pair of snaps, keeping contents in place when you move.
• Sleeve Utility Pocket — A slim snap-flap pocket on the upper left sleeve holds a pen, notebook or small tool within easy reach.
• Hook-and-Loop Name Tape Panel — An olive strip of hook-and-loop fastener (the same system as Velcro) above the right chest pocket accepts a name tape or patch.

Genuine German Issue

Every shirt was made for the German Armed Forces and carries its original stitched-in label at the collar. German military sizing appears on that label as a height range and chest measurement in centimeters: 175-185/105, for example, fits a wearer roughly 5 ft 9 in to 6 ft 1 in tall with a 41 in (105 cm) chest. Because the shirt was made to the Bundeswehr's own specification rather than a commercial maker's version, the pattern, hardware and insignia layout are the real thing.
