The German Paratrooper Jacket is a recently issued olive drab military jacket from Germany. We purchased a small lot of these jackets while in Europe and believe we are the first company to bring them to the US market. Made in the early 2000's these paratrooper jackets are exceptionally nice. With a modern appearance and plenty of pockets, this jacket is a must-have.
So , held off but size III/IV shown, label shows 112-116 (lg-xl).could not be happier since new condition and size roomy to layer up to. Roomy pocket like Austrian field jacket but more!! Well made just got today and one of my better choices recently. If they come back in stock. Grab one, I got mine to enjoy for many uses!! Spiffy Jump Jacket-Airborne!!!
Mislabeled Austrian Jacket, STILL AWESOME!
These are actually Austrian Army Wet weather jackets designed for Mountain troops, and they work very well. Need more small sizes because they run big!
Mine was in excellent shape .Everthing was functional. I am 5'9" and the m/lg fit perfectly.
Really well thought out jacket all around. One malfunctioning zipper, other than that I was very pleased. Slightly worn, but in great condition without the nasty smell of some dirty bunker. I'm not a jumper , but You might jump up and down a little, it you get your hands on one.
Love this jacket!
Fits perfectly and has lots of places to store things, this is a quality jacket and came with no issues. Fits me perfectly and I wear it often!
Excellent German Quality!
Yes mine came with some very slight wear but in excellent shape. These are sized fairly roomy. I ordered the III/IV I would translate that to an XL. I wear my French legionnaire polar-tec fleece underneath this and it is pretty much windproof and warm!. Great jacket with concealed exterior pocket on both sides of the front zipper.
This is a well-made jacket with the only downside being the flap buttons missing on the interior pockets of the one I received (maybe I'll find stand-ins for them and put those on). I figured it would be a bit large on me, and it was, but I expect a jacket like this to be so. Was a pleasant surprise to see it had a bit more green to its color than the site photo on my screen looks. Plenty of pockets and no busted/missing zippers for me.
This jacket is huge, I'm glad that I ordered I/II. One of the zipper is broken. Other than that looks great and quality is really good.
really like this jacket
Great jacket! Great price! Broken zipper! Should be a easy fix. Lost this jacket in the first 15 minutes to my son! Now I have to buy one for me!
This is one great jacket
This is one jacket you cant pass up wasn't sure if the med/large would fit so i ordered it anyway more then enough room a lot of pockets and it looks great for the price you cant go wrong will order a second one.
Waiting to have the jacket tailored...
I was super enthusiastic about this purchase, but for a 5'4" woman, this jacket SWIMS on me. I expected it to, of course, but that did not deter me from buying it. I will be having it tailored soon, because I really think this is a fantastic jacket. If I can update reviews, I'll be sure to let folks know how it is post-tailoring. Do not hesitate to buy this jacket!
Excellent light jacket or shell
A great jacket with lots of pockets for stuff, and great adjustability for fit through the draw strings at collar, mid-level and bottom. Fit and finish is excellent for a surplus clothing item. The material is soft and comfortable, yet durable. The "Surplus Used" part must come from being a shelf item, or sitting in QM storage. There is no apparent sign of this being issued.
For reference, the III/IV (Medium/Large) is a great fit for me, at 5'8, 175lbs, medium build. It is plenty big enough to wear a bulky fleece styled liner, yet the draw-strings take up the slack when using it as a standalone shell.
If anyone reading this is still undecided, don't hesitate, the price can't be beat for the quality of this versatile jacket. (I'm considering a second, that's how much I like it.)
well worth the money
Nice jacket although it's certainly Austrian issue, not German as advertised. The tags have been removed but the cut, fittings, and material are Austrian Bundesheer all the way. I'm 5'10" 180 lbs and the med/lg fit well. Definitely worth $25.
Lots of pockets to keep your awesomeness in.
I purchased this coat in part because I had purchased the German Navy Parka that Keepshooting is selling, and am so happy with that coat that I figured I would take a gamble again. I wanted a jacket for spring, and this jacket would fit the bill; it is not too well insulated, basically two layers of thick cotton. The quality of this coat is top notch, very well built. I am pretty sure the one I received is new. All of the five outside pockets have zippers, I guess it stands to reason if you are doing an activity, like jumping out of a plane, that could cause you to turn upside down. There are two inside pockets with buttons. The two “hidden” outside chest pockets are huge, extending all the way to the seam running down the sides, to the middle draw-string. There are draw-strings, at the neck, middle, and the bottom. I have to admit that I was a little confused by Keepshooting’s large/extra large sizing; apparently the sizing means it falls somewhere between large and extra large. I would guess it is probably about a size mens 44-46. I am a size 48, and I can zipper and button the jacket, but it is tighter than I would like it to be. I have to lose weight anyway, and this will give me incentive, you know that and living longer and healthier and all that stuff as well. Anyway, at the price keepshooting is selling these forget about buying name brand outside work jackets, you could buy two of these and pocket a few dollars for the price of some of the name brand outdoor and work jackets. Again, the quality of these jackets is top notch.
