    The material of this item is similar to a dress shirt which makes it nice for warmer weather. It is reasonably soft as received and will probably become a bit softer with washing. It extends several inches below the belt line, which is helpful. Although it hasn't snagged on briars, they do penetrate, so it won't be my first choice when blackberry season starts. Overall, it is well made and comfortable.

    It came with a name patch, but its brand-new condition suggests it was never worn by the soldier for which it was intended. At the price I rate this product a must-have.
