This is the genuine Glock replacement barrel for the Glock 42, the compact single-stack .380 ACP pistol. It drops in as a direct swap for a worn or damaged original, or serves as a spare for owners who carry the G42 daily and want a factory part on hand. Because it is built to the same specification as the barrel the pistol shipped with, you keep the original fit and function.

• Chambered In .380 ACP — The chamber is cut for .380 ACP, also sold as .380 Auto, and the hood is stamped .380 AUTO to match.
• 3.25-Inch Barrel Length — The barrel measures 3.25 inches, the same length as the factory G42 barrel.
• Hammer-Forged Carbon Steel — The barrel is formed by hammering steel around a mandrel, a process that produces dense, consistent bore walls.
• Polygonal Rifling — Instead of sharp-edged lands and grooves, the bore has a rounded, multi-sided profile that spins the bullet and is easy to clean.
• Matte Nitride Finish — A nitride surface treatment hardens the steel and resists corrosion, finished in a dull black that matches the factory slide.

Fit And Compatibility

The barrel is made for the Glock 42 only and is built to original G42 specifications. It will not fit the Glock 43 or other Glock models, which use different barrels and calibers. Installation is a standard field-strip swap: remove the slide, lift out the recoil spring assembly and old barrel, and fit the new one in its place.
