These particular hats were produced for use by Italian Army soldiers participating in Operation Iraqi Freedom. It's just like the one that was provided for me in my National Service days except that the current one fits my head very well and has been designed to fit the more recent requirements. If you are 7/8 (Asian), 11/16 (other), 7 1/4 (American/British), 7 3/8 (African) then buy the cap, wash it in hot water with detergent and wear it to make sure it is comfy before ordering more than one.

Great quality for price, as advertised. My 13 year old really liked it. The plastic tab in back was loose but after sliding in the small adjuster it's perfect now. No complaints, I recommend.

My son is autistic and loves baseball caps. This one is durable and fits well. We have 4 different caps and this one is one of his favorites. I do recommend for people with small heads though. This is for a bigger kid or adult, which I prefer for myself. But I like the fit for him and it seems durable. If it starts to wear out, the seams have not shown any signs of fraying. And I don't know why it should because I do not wash it often. But it does get soaked with conditioner every time I shower, because it absorbs odors. That may cause a tear. I haven't tried the stretch fit style because I have not found it in my size. But I may get that one next. It is a really cute style. I have 3 black caps, a grey, a taupe, and now this one.

Just received my tan 5714 Military style field cap, i will definitely use it as my winter skiing lid as well. Really cool and classic cap - fits me (7-1/4" tall) perfectly - great fit for medium-large size folks, and the extra sizing room at the bottom is really nice. Not sure how they managed to do it but it feels very lightweight, comfortable and “open” like a baseball cap - doesn’t feel too snug on my large head - and it’s not “military like” like other crap in the 7-1/4 size out there - more so a hippy-like look that’s cool as heck - not so classic that it looks old fashioned, nor does it have that mall hipster fashion type of thing going on, which makes it perfect for casual and everyday wear - don’t know if it was military issued or not, but it is just as nice and “comfortable” feeling as a cap I have that is exactly like the pic - only difference is that is the picture, not an actual cap, this thing is a legit product. 5 starts.

To All....Do NOT try to wear this hat as an "Alabama Coosa" or in size "17 inches." I did that, and when the fit was all screwed up, Amazon charged me for a $12.00 dry cleaning fee! This hat is fine for anyone else who normally would order it in 7-3/4, or if you normally wear a size "7-3/4, or 7.5 or 7.75", etc., this is the hat for you!

Love the color and fit! The brim is not too thick, just enough. It has a bit of fraying around the bottom, as some others have reported, which I expected, but that was easy to take care of. I am glad that I ordered the smaller size as it fit perfectly. I would definitely recommend this hat. I bought the tan one too.

Great headgear. Lightweight yet seems sturdy enough to keep the hat shape. I'm definitely a 7 1/4" crown and this seems to fit just right, the little flap behind the brim looks fine and the brim is right in that, not upright "Western hat" look but slightly sloped forward.
