Legit 1980s Italian Military Issue, Incredible QualityThese are the real deal authentic Italian Army chinos from the 80s era, poly-cotton blend with that classic straight-leg cut similar to vintage Dickies. The construction is genuinely impressive... double-needle stitching throughout, reinforced seams, pleated front with a proper high rise. The button-down flap pockets on the back are a nice touch you don't see on most surplus pants. I've been collecting European military surplus for years and Italian stuff is consistently underrated compared to, say, German or Swiss surplus. The fabric weight is perfect for three-season wear and these look way more put together than your typical BDU cargo pants. The 48x30 fit me perfectly note that European sizing runs a bit different so double check measurements before ordering. Only minor thing was a tiny bit of oxidation on the zipper pull, which buffed right off. These are unissued or very lightly used at most.
Classic straight-leg cut that works for casual or range wear

Italian surplus way better than reproductionsI've been collecting European military surplus for over a decade and these Italian chinos are genuinely impressive. The poly-cotton twill is heavy duty stuff not that flimsy modern chino fabric you see everywhere. Mine have that classic 1980s Italian army stamp inside the waistband and the stitching is period-correct. The straight-leg cut reminds me of my old Dickies 874s but honestly these have better construction at the seams. The reinforced belt loops are double-stitched and the pleats give them that vintage military silhouette you can't fake. If you're comparing these to the Universal Surplus version, these are the real deal - actual issued gear, not civilian reproduction. Sizing runs true for vintage military (order your actual waist, they sit high). Already ordered a second pair.
