Ruger Mark II .22 LR Mag
This is a 10-round .22 Long Rifle magazine from Mec-Gar, built for Ruger Mark II pistols. Rimfire shooters run through magazines fast at the range, and one or two factory spares rarely last a full session. Extra magazines mean less time reloading at the bench and more time shooting. The baseplate can also be set up for Ruger Mark I pistols, so owners of either model can use it.

- Heat-Treated Carbon Steel Tube — Mec-Gar heat-treats the steel body to harden it, which helps the tube and feed lips keep their shape through repeated loading.
- Blued Finish — Bluing is a controlled oxidation treatment that gives the steel its dark color and some resistance to rust.
- Music Wire Spring — The spring is high-tensile music wire, a hard steel wire chosen because it holds its tension through many load cycles.
- Polymer Follower — The follower, the platform that pushes each round up toward the top of the magazine, is molded polymer.
- Easy-Load Follower Button — A button on the side of the follower rides in a slot along the tube, so you can hold the spring down with your thumb while you drop rounds in.
- Removable Polymer Baseplate — The baseplate comes off for cleaning, and its grooved lip gives you something to grip when you pull the magazine.
- Mark I Convertible — The baseplate button can be swapped so the magazine works in Ruger Mark I pistols.
Build And Fit
The magazine pairs a blued carbon steel tube with a polymer follower and baseplate, and it weighs about 0.50 lb. It is sized for Ruger Mark II pistols as delivered, and changing the baseplate button adapts it to the Mark I. The manufacturer part number is MGMK22LRB.

Works good in my old RugerBought this as a spare for my dads old mkII. Fits pretty good and drops free when empty.

Works GreatBeen running these in my Mark II for a few months now and I gotta say they do exactly what theyre supposed to do. I use this pistol mostly for plinking and occasional target shooting and these mags load up smooth and drop free no problem. One thing I noticed right away was the buttons on the side feel a little more rounded than my factory mag which is actually easier on your thumb when youre loading up all 10 rounds. Only thing I can say negative is they feel just a TINY bit stiffer than the OEM when loading but after a few range trips that pretty much went away. Solid buy especially at this price compared to tracking down factory mags.

Good bang for the buckI run these at the outdoor range mostly for casual plinking with my stainless MKII. Dropped right in and the anti tilt follower keeps rounds lined up nice. The side buttons make topping it off pretty quick once you get the hang of pushing them down while you load. Only nitpick is its a tad stiffer than my old factory mag so loading the last couple rounds takes a little extra push. Finish held up fine after bouncing around in my range bag.

Works great in my MKIIPicked this up cause factory Ruger mags are crazy expensive now. Took it to the range last weekend with my old Mark II and ran about 80 rounds of cheap bulk .22 through it no problem. The little buttons on the side are actually rounded which makes loading easier on my thumb than the original mag. Spring felt a bit stiff the first couple loads but after that it smoothed out. Does what its supposed to and feeds fine for plinking.

Fits perfect, feeds every single timeBought two of these for my old MkII and honestly couldn't be happier. Drops free, locks up tight, and I haven't had a single failure to feed in about 300 rounds. Way better then the stock mag that came with my gun years ago.
Definitely buying more.
