Great magazine, but there's an aesthetic problem

These units are great, as met guard usually is. However the plus two base plate does not flow with the lines of the Taurus PT92. They jut out a bit too much, and clearly we're designed to flow from an actual Beretta. I ended up switching out the base plates with some standard base plates, and while I lost the plus two option it's still one more round than the standard Taurus brand magazine. Four stars, but I probably would not buy again.

This is mostly an aesthetics issue, but the front of the Plus 2 base plate extension juts out much further than the grip of the PT92. In fact, these are the same base plates used on a Beretta 92 A1 magazine, which flows from the funneled mag well in front (I exchanged them on one just to find out). While they work fine as far as adding round capacity goes, they just look wrong. I ended up using the mags with a couple of base plates from some 30-round Promag units just so they'd look appropriate - and that still adds one more round than the Taurus OEM.

Same mec-gar magazine, just has a +2 baseplate. Mec-gar is the only brand magazine I use in my pt92. Baseplate is also easy to remove for cleaning.

The stock Taurus magazines are garbage. They always have that 1 or 2 rounds that wanna fold under as you load even using an Uplula loader. Had 2 ftf with Taurus magazines every time. Loading the Mecgar by hand just felt like a pure quality magazine. No issues loading and no issues with ftf. Great magazines. I will be buying more.
