These Rothco pants follow the cut of the U.S. military's standard-issue BDU, short for Battle Dress Uniform, the six-pocket field trouser American troops wore for decades. They are built for work in the field, at the range or on duty, with room to carry gear and reinforcement where trousers usually wear through first. The Midnight Digital pattern mixes navy, slate and black pixels, a darker colorway than woodland or desert prints that suits night work, public safety teams and anyone who wants a subdued camo.

Features

• Cotton-Poly Twill — A 55% cotton and 45% polyester blend in a twill weave, the diagonal weave used for workwear because it resists abrasion and holds its shape.
• Six Utility Pockets — Two front slash pockets, two large button-down cargo pockets on the thighs and two button-down back pockets give you room for a phone, wallet, maps or small tools.
• Reinforced Seat and Knees — Extra fabric layers at the seat and knees protect against blowouts when you kneel, crouch or climb.
• Adjustable Waist Tabs — Side tabs cinch the waistband so you can tighten the fit without relying on a belt alone.
• Button Fly Closure — A traditional button fly, as on the issue trouser, has no zipper to jam or break.
• Drawstring Ankle Ties — Cords at each cuff tighten around the boot top to keep out debris and stop the hem from snagging.
• Straight Leg Opening — The straight cut sits comfortably over combat or work boots.
• Double-Stitched Seams — Two rows of stitching along the seams add strength where trousers take the most strain.

Construction and Fit

Rothco makes these as new commercial pants rather than surplus, which keeps sizing consistent and the fabric fresh. The cotton side of the blend keeps them breathable, and the polyester adds durability and helps them dry faster than all-cotton trousers. Sizes run from XS up to 9XL with an inseam of about 32.5 inches, and the waist tabs let you fine-tune the fit between sizes.
