Olive Drab Wool Blanket

This is an oldie but goodie! Very heavy wool blanket, the same one I used in basic training. When I was done with my tour, the CAP Sergeant who did our annual inspection took it home and was using it as a sofa throw, as this wool is a little itchy. Needless to say I have it back, and will enjoy it's use this winter. One tip: line dry, don't use a clothes dryer as this will shorten the life of the product, trust me on this one! If I ever need another one, I'll order it from KS, they're the best!

Awesome!!!! Sooo warm

Great in a small indoor hammock for chilly mornings. No rain,no sweat even at night. I got my last two for two people that slept outside and enjoyed my comfort for 48 degrees or so but were warm at the ground in their bags . We also took this in chest high weeds and were warm and snug as long as we sat up so bugs did not attack. Fans will not keep you cool. Don't be like me. Learn to layer. Works well on cool summer nights in shade or a hammock . If they ever go above 70 they will sweat. Sweat on them and the damp turns it into a quilt in seconds. Does the trick if not wet though and keeps it out of the rain so you are not a walking tent and you get two layers for a third of the price of some sweatshirts. One time I did the roof. My friend loved it. Went to his roof the next night but he forgot I used his. When he came back it was wet, still hot and all sweaty . So the only reason I give it a 4 star because when damp it is like a winter blanket even at 60. It won't get wet if I sleep in the back seat in some woods or some place off trail with cover so no bugs and sweat and can go all out at once when its cool out. That means, the floor at night if needed and around 60 it is good at the ground . Wet at 60 is not like at 90 where you sweat through cotton and it never wicks but not damp, cotton is worse than a wool at the ground at 60. Fits on one layer under another in some hammocks . Sleeps fine and nice in my small nylon and foam two layer hammock with room to spare. Warmest part was in the front , back warm and even sides for neck. Only gripe, there was one where they flipped a patch over but missed another side and you get to wear a slip cover when worn out. That makes it awkward when putting on but still useful.

It was not too expensive and it's not thin like most synthetic fleece.

This blanket was warm and comfortable. I used it to cover my sleeping bag on cool nights in spring/fall camping trips. It kept me very warm and dry even when it rained or snowed lightly.

This is one of those blankets you buy and then never want to use again because it's so warm! It's also very lightweight and packable.

I like it

This blanket is great. It's thick and heavy but not too hot. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good blanket at a decent price.

I bought this to keep in my car as it was very cold here in Michigan and it kept me warm
