PPU's Subsonic Line 7.62x51mm pushes a heavy 200 grain full metal jacket bullet below the speed of sound, so a suppressed rifle loses the sharp supersonic crack that a standard load makes. It is a load for shooters running a suppressor (a muzzle device that traps and slows propellant gas) who want the quietest practical report from a 7.62x51 rifle. Case, Primer and Twist

Prvi Partizan, the Serbian maker behind the PPU headstamp, loads this round in brass cases with boxer primers, so the empties are worth keeping if you reload. Before buying, check your barrel's twist rate: the box specifies 1:10" or faster, and a slower twist may not stabilize the 200 grain bullet at subsonic speed. Fire it only in a rifle chambered for 7.62x51mm and in good working condition.
