Pyramid Pop Up Dome Mosquito Net

Pop-Up Sleeping Net

The Pyramid Pop Up Dome Mosquito Net is a self-erecting, single-sleeper shelter against biting insects. You lay it over a camp bed, a ground mat or a hammock-free patch of ground, and it springs into shape on its own, so there are no poles, guy lines or overhead hanging points to find. It is listed as French Army issue and suits soldiers, campers, hunters and travelers who sleep where mosquitoes are a problem.

Features

• Self-Erecting Dome Frame — A sprung frame sewn into the net pops the dome open the moment you release it from the bag.
• Fast Pitch And Strike — The packaging rates it to go up and come down in a matter of seconds, which matters when you arrive at a site after dark.
• Freestanding Design — Because the dome holds its own shape, it needs no tree, rafter or ceiling hook to hang from.
• Permethrin-Treated Netting — The mesh is impregnated with permethrin, an insecticide used on military bed nets and clothing that repels and kills insects on contact.
• Reinforced Skirt And Edges — Strengthened netting around the base and seams takes the strain where the net meets the ground.
• Round Carry Bag — The net twists down into a flat, circular black bag with two webbing handles and an open pocket on each side.
• Printed Folding Guide — Step-by-step pictures on the bag show how to coil the frame back down, so you can repack it in the field without the instructions.

Issue And Packing

Pyramid made this net and it is catalogued here as French Army issue, the kind of kit bought in bulk for troops posted to hot, insect-heavy regions. Issued gear like this was chosen to work reliably for people who had no say in where they slept, and it carries genuine provenance for collectors who want the real item. Folded, it packs into a disc-shaped bag that slides flat into a rucksack or straps to the outside of one.
