Rex Specs K9 Goggles

Eye Protection For K9s

Rex Specs K9 Goggles are protective eyewear built for dogs, especially working dogs that spend long days outdoors. The wraparound frame shields both eyes from wind, blowing snow, dust and brush, so the dog can keep its head up and stay on task. Handlers use them in the field alongside tactical harnesses and load-bearing gear, and owners of active dogs fit them for hiking, boating and trips through rough country.

Features

• Dual Adjustable Straps — One strap runs around the back of the head and a second passes under the jaw, so the goggles stay put when the dog runs, shakes or turns its head.
• Contoured Frame — The frame is shaped to follow a dog's face, sitting around the eyes and resting across the top of the muzzle instead of a human brow line.
• Wraparound Single Lens — One continuous lens covers both eyes and curves to the sides, keeping a wide field of view open.
• Mirrored Lens Option — The blue-frame version shown carries a reflective mirrored lens, the type used to cut glare from snow, water and bright sun.
• Strap Sliders For Fine Fitting — Sliding adjusters on the webbing let you take up slack in small steps to suit your dog's head shape.
• Works Under Field Gear — The low-profile strap layout sits clear of collars and K9 harnesses, as shown on a working dog kitted out in the snow.

Fitting Your Dog

Rex Specs designs these goggles for dogs, not as an adapted human product, which is why the frame and two-strap harness look different from a ski goggle. Snug both straps so the frame seals evenly around the eyes without pressing hard on the muzzle. Most dogs need a few short sessions with treats before they ignore the goggles, so start at home before you head into the field.
