The Rothco Deluxe EMT Pants are uniform trousers for emergency medical technicians and other first responders who carry shears, pens, lights and small kit on their legs instead of digging through a bag. The pockets are laid out so the tools you reach for most sit on the thigh and calf, and the waistband is cut to stay comfortable through a long shift of kneeling, lifting and climbing in and out of a rig. They come in black and navy blue, the two most common EMS uniform colors.

• Bellows Cargo Pockets — Two thigh cargo pockets have pleated sides that expand outward, so they hold bulkier items without pulling the leg out of shape.
• Scissor and Pen Slots — The front of each cargo pocket carries narrow slots with snap-down tabs that keep trauma shears, pens and penlights upright and secured.
• Besom Calf Pockets — A slim slit pocket set flush into each lower leg closes with hook and loop (Velcro-style) fastening for gloves or small items.
• Hidden Zipper Pocket — A concealed zippered pocket gives you a secure place for keys, ID or cash.
• Reinforced Front Pockets — Two deep front pockets are reinforced at the openings to resist wear from repeated use.
• Button-Close Back Pockets — Two rear pockets fasten with buttons so a wallet or notebook stays put.
• Elastic-Slider Waistband — Hidden elastic in the waistband gives a little as you bend and move while keeping a tailored look from the outside.
• Gripper Waistband — A grip strip inside the waistband helps hold a uniform shirt neatly tucked.
• Dual Hook and Eye Closure — A zipper fly with two hook and eye fasteners at the waist keeps the front flat and secure.
• Reinforced Knees — Extra fabric layered over the knees stands up to kneeling at a scene and slows wear in the highest-friction area.

Fabric And Fit

The pants are made from a 65% polyester and 35% cotton blend, which holds its shape and color through frequent washing while staying more breathable than all-synthetic fabric. The legs come pre-hemmed and finish with an ankle drawstring, so you can cinch the cuff over boots or keep it out of the way. Each pair weighs about 1.6 pounds and is made in China.
