The Rothco M-65 Field Jacket follows the cut of the US military's long-serving M-65: a hip-length coat with four flapped pockets, a stand-up collar and a liner you can remove when the weather warms up. This version is printed in tiger stripe camo, the horizontal brushstroke pattern of olive, brown, tan and black that most people recognize from the Vietnam era. Wear the shell alone on a cool fall day, then button the liner in for winter. It suits anyone who wants a practical field coat for outdoor work, hunting trips, or everyday wear with a surplus look.

Features

• Poly/Cotton Twill Shell — The outer is a water-repellent blend of polyester and cotton in a twill weave, the diagonal-ribbed cloth used for hard-wearing workwear.
• Removable Quilted Liner — A black 100% polyester quilted liner buttons into the inside of the jacket and comes out when you only need the shell.
• Concealed Collar Hood — A hood with a drawstring rolls away inside the collar behind a brass zipper, so it is there when rain arrives and out of sight when it is not.
• Heavy Brass Front Zipper — The main zipper is brass and sits behind a storm flap that snaps closed to block wind and rain.
• Four Snap-Up Pockets — Two chest and two lower pockets each have a flap that closes with a snap to keep gear from falling out.
• Adjustable Drawstrings — Drawcords at the waist, hood and hem let you cinch the fit to keep heat in and drafts out.
• Hook-And-Loop Cuffs — Tabs at each cuff close with hook-and-loop fastener so you can tighten the sleeves over gloves.
• Shoulder Epaulets — Buttoned straps sit on top of each shoulder, a detail carried over from the original military pattern.

Shell and Liner Build

Rothco builds this jacket to US military specifications for the M-65, so the pocket layout, collar hood, storm flap and button-in liner match the issued design rather than a loose fashion copy. The water-repellent twill shell sheds light rain and wind, and the quilted liner adds warmth for colder months. Because the two layers separate, one jacket covers most of the year. Brass hardware on the zipper and snaps is visible throughout.
