Rothco's Tactical BDU Pants follow the cut of the classic Battle Dress Uniform trouser, the military field pant built around roomy cargo storage and a straight leg. This version is printed in tiger stripe camo, the horizontal black, brown, green and tan pattern long associated with the Vietnam War era. They suit hiking, camping, range days and general field work, and they are just as wearable off duty for anyone who likes a period-correct look.

• 55/45 Cotton-Poly Twill — The fabric blends 55% cotton for comfort with 45% polyester for strength, woven as a twill with a diagonal rib that resists abrasion.
• Six-Pocket Layout — Two front slash pockets, two thigh cargo pockets and two rear pockets give you plenty of places to stow gear.
• Bellowed Cargo Pockets — The oversized thigh pockets have pleated sides that expand to hold bulky items, and a flap closes over the top.
• Button-Down Rear Pockets — Flaps on both back pockets keep a wallet or notebook in place when you sit, crouch or climb.
• Reinforced Knees And Seat — Extra fabric layers at the knees and seat back up the areas that wear through first.
• Adjustable Waist Tabs — Tabs at each side of the waistband let you take in the fit, so you can wear the pants without a belt.
• Drawstring Ankle Ties — Ties at the cuffs cinch the hem for blousing, meaning the pant leg is gathered snugly over the top of your boots.
• Button Fly — Buttons close the front instead of a zipper, so there is no zipper to jam or break in the field.

Build And Fit

These are commercially made Rothco pants, not issued surplus, cut in the traditional BDU pattern. The straight leg opening sits comfortably over boots, and the ankle ties let you blouse the cuffs when you want them out of the way. With the waist tabs and drawstrings you can tune the fit at both ends without extra hardware.
